Go to the Home Page and click on “ABOUT EMPLOYMENT DIVISION” under “EMPLOYMENT” icon. By this way, you can get all the information of employment related services provided by Directorate of Employment and Training, Gandhinagar.

How can I access “Rojgar Samachar”?

Go to the Home Page and click on “ABOUT EMPLOYMENT DIVISION” under “EMPLOYMENT” icon. Then, click on “ROJGAR SAMACHAR” displayed on the right side under “RELATED LINKS”. Clicking this link would enable you to directly access “ROJGAR SAMACHAR”.

As a Job-Seeker, I also want to access the other employment related websites. How can I do so?

Click on “OTHER PORTALS” under “EMPLOYMENT” icon and further click on “JOB PORTALS”. 

Can I directly submit the EMI returns covered under the C.N.V. Act on-line on the web portal as an Employer?

Yes, you can. Go to the Home Page and click on “EMPLOYER LOGIN” displayed on the right side of the Home Page under the title “LOGIN”. Then, log-in by using your registered E-mail id and Password. After logging in, click on “ER-1 FORM”, then fill all the required details and then press “SUBMIT” button.

For the online submission of ER-2, the same process would have to be followed. But, after logging in, you need to click on “ER-2” and repeat the above-mentioned process.

As an Employer, how can I get the details of candidates matching with my manpower requirements?

Go to the Home Page and click on “EMPLOYER LOGIN” displayed on the right side of the Home Page under the title “LOGIN” and then, log-in with your registered E-mail id and Password. Click on “VACANCY” tab and then, “SEARCH CANDIDATE ON YOUR OWN” tab under that.

As an Employer, how can I notify the vacancies online?

Go to the Home Page and click on “EMPLOYER LOGIN” displayed on the right side of the Home Page under the title “LOGIN” and then, log-in with your registered E-mail id and Password. After logging into your account, click “VACANCY” and then click “POST VACANCY THROUGH EXCHANGE”. Click “VACANCY NOTIFICATION” being displayed under that and after filling all the required details, press “SAVE”.

As an Employer, how can I register my organization on-line on the web portal?

Go to the Home Page and click on “EMPLOYER LOGIN” displayed on the right side of the Home Page under the title “LOGIN”. Then, click on “NEW EMPLOYER” and click on “REGISTER NEW EMPLOYER” after that. Press “REGISTER” button after filling all the required details in order to complete the on-line registration process.

You would get an E-mail or SMS confirmation on your registered E-mail Address / Mobile Number.

As a Job Seeker, how can I register myself on-line on the web portal?

Go to the Home Page and click on “JOB SEEKER LOGIN” displayed on the right side of the Home Page under the title “LOGIN”. Then, click on “NEW JOB SEEKER”. After selecting any one of the given two options provided in the “JOB SEEKER REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS”, click on “START REGISTRATION” and after selecting any one option out of – “DISTRICT / UEB OFFICE” press “SUBMIT” button. Press “NEXT” button after filling all the required details of “CANDIDATE REGISTRATION FORM” which would direct you to fill the other details. Press “SUBMIT” button after filling these details in order to complete the registration process.

You can press “DOWNLOAD RECEIPT” button for obtaining the receipt of your on-line registration. Moreover, you would also get e-mail/sms confirmation on your registered E-mail Address/Mobile Number.

As a Job seeker, how can I obtain the contact details of the various Employment Offices of Gujarat State?

Go to the Home Page and click on “EMPLOYMENT EXCHANGES” under “EMPLOYMENT” icon.

How can I obtain my password for the already existing account?

(a)    EMPLOYER:

Go to the Home Page and click on “EMPLOYER LOGIN” displayed on the right side of the Home Page under the title “LOGIN”. Then, click “FORGOT PASSWORD”.

(b)   JOB SEEKER:

Go to the Home Page and click on “JOB SEEKER LOGIN” displayed on the right side of the Home Page under the title “LOGIN”. Then, click “FORGOT PASSWORD”.

In both the cases, the re-allotted password would be sent through e-mail on the registered e-mail address.

How can I get C.N.V. Form and ER-1 & ER-2 Forms on-line from the web portal?

Click on “DOWNLOADS” under “EMPLOYMENT” icon and you can get C.N.V. Form and ER-1 & ER-2 Forms.

Who can register himself/herself with the Employment Exchange?

Any job-seeker native of Gujarat or residing in Gujarat since last 3 years can register himself/herself with the Employment Exchange.

What is the minimum age criterion for doing registration with the Employment Exchange?

Any candidate aged 14 years or above can register himself/herself with the Employment Exchange.

Is there any registration fee?

No. There is no registration fee.

Can the already employed candidates register themselves with the Employment office?

Yes. The already employed candidates can also register themselves with the Employment Office since they could be looking for a better job opportunity as compared to the existing job, but they have to declare this before Employment Exchange.

What are the educational qualification criteria for registration with the Employment Office?

There are no such educational criteria for registration with the Employment Office. Even, the illiterate candidates can also register themselves. But, as per the prevailing government rules – minimum essential educational qualification for Class-IV recruitment is S.S.C. / Matriculation.

Can I register myself while pursuing my ongoing education?

Yes. You can register yourself while pursuing your ongoing education but, your last educational qualification status would be registered. Once you complete the ongoing education and furnish the supporting documentary evidence then in that case it would also be registered at that point of time.

Can the work experience be registered?

Yes. The work experience can be registered but, one has to provide the supporting documentary evidence, e.g. Experience Certificate issued by the Employer. The Experience Certificate issued by the Employer should contain the tenure of service, salary drawn details, position held, reason for leaving the organization, etc.

Can the transfer of registration be done from one district to another?

Yes. The registration can be transferred from one district to another but, the registered candidate has to give an application alongwith valid reason for doing so.

Can the seniority be maintained in case of transfer of registration?

Yes. The existing seniority would be given in case of transfer of registration.

Can the registration be done after completing overseas education?

Yes. The registration can be done after completing the overseas education. But, the candidate has to furnish all the original certificates as well as mark sheets for the verification and scrutiny purpose.

Can the Overseas work experience be registered?

Yes. The Overseas work experience can be registered but, the supporting documentary evidence like Experience Certificate must be furnished at the time of registration.

Can the name and address be changed after registration?

Yes. The name and address can be changed after the registration. But, an application with valid reasons has to be given to the Employment Office alongwith the supporting documentary evidence.

What is the time duration for renewal?

The Time duration for renewal is 3 years from the date of registration and extra two months’ grace period is also given for the same.

What should be done if the renewal date gets expired?

If the candidate is unable to renew the registration on time, then in that case – his/her registration will automatically be cancelled thereby ending his seniority and the candidate has to register afresh.

What should I do if my registration card is lost?

If you have lost the registration card, then you have to give an application with the valid reasons requesting the concerned Employment Office to issue the duplicate card.

Can I get vocational guidance?

Yes. You can get the vocational guidance from the Employment Office as there is an exclusive Vocational Guidance Branch functioning in the Employment Office and Career Counselor is also appointed in the Employment Office for the same. Moreover, there are separate Model Vocational Guidance Centers functioning within the premises of the Employment Office.

Can I get the reading material pertaining to vocational guidance?

Yes. You can get the reading material pertaining to vocational guidance but, you’ll have to read the material in the Employment Office and return it well in tact on the same day. 

Can the registration be done at taluka level?

Yes. The registration can be done at taluka level. Each & every District Employment Office organizes Taluka Registration Camps every month for the same reason.

Which are the other schemes of employment office?

The other schemes of Employment Office are Swami Vivekanand Residential Training Scheme for Pre-Recruitment in the Army/Navy/Air force/Paramilitary Forces and Police Forces, Employment Extension Bureau (eMPEX-b), Issuance of S.T. Coupons to the registered job-seekers for managing to & fro transportation for the Industrial Job-Fairs and Recruitment Rallies of Army/Navy/Air force/Paramilitary Forces/Police Forces, etc.

Is it necessary to register the caste?

Yes. If the candidate registers the caste, he/she can take advantage of the reservation policy especially for the Public Sector / Government Jobs depending upon the criteria & recruitment policy of the employer.

Is there any special service for the candidates belonging to the minority?

Yes. The Employment Office organizes exclusive Minority Registration-cum-Guidance Camps through which the guidance pertaining to the employment/self-employment is provided to the minority candidates.

Does the employment office retain the original documents at the time of registration?

No. The Employment Office does not retain the original documents. The Original Documents are only required for the purpose of scrutiny and putting the seal of the concerned employment office alongwith the registration number of the candidate. Hence, the original documents are given back to the candidates after completing the above-mentioned procedure.

Can the registration be done on the basis of photocopies of certificates?

No. The registration cannot be done on the basis of photocopies of certificates as all the relevant original documents are required for the scrutiny purpose.

Is it necessary to come in person for the registration?

Yes. The candidate who wants to register himself/herself has to come in person at the concerned Employment Office because the on the spot digital photograph is taken which will appear in the registration card. Moreover, the signature of the candidate is also required for the record keeping purpose.

Which other document can be produced as a proof of birth date in absence of school leaving certificate?

The other document like Credit Certificate of S.S.C. Board Examination can be produced in original but, it must have been issued by the competent authority.

What should be done to update additional qualification after the registration?

The candidate has to come alongwith the original registration card and the original copies of the degree certificates & mark sheets (of the qualification to be added) to the Employment Office.

What sort of assistance will be provided by the employment office pertaining to the recruitment in the defense services?

The Employment Office organizes 30 days Residential Training Classes with lodging & boarding facilities and 7 Days Pre-written Exam Training Classes under Swami Vivekanand Residential Training  Scheme for Pre-Recruitment in the Army/Navy/Air force/Paramilitary Forces and Police Forces. The trainees are also paid stipend in accordance with their attendance. Therefore, the candidates meeting with the criteria laid down by Army/Navy/Air force/ Paramilitary Forces and Police Forces can avail the benefits of the above-mentioned scheme.

Can the application forms of competitive exams be obtained from the employment office?

No. The Application forms of competitive exams cannot be obtained from the Employment Office. But, the relevant guidance pertaining to the on-line / off-line application process can be obtained from the Employment Office.

Can the registration be done in the other district?

Yes. The registration can be done in the other district.

Can the registration be done in more than one district?

No. The registration cannot be done in more than one district.

Can the ex-serviceman register himself?

Yes. The Ex-Serviceman can register himself but, after registering with the Kendriya Sainik Board. They will have to furnish the certificate issued by Kendriya Sainik Board as well as the Discharge Book issued by the competent authority. The Employment Office will retain photocopies of all these documents.

Can the registration of differently abled candidates be done?

Yes. The registration of the differently abled candidates can be done but, such candidates will be required to furnish the Certificate of Disability issued by the competent authority (Civil Surgeon, etc.). The Employment Office will retain photocopy of the Certificate of Disability.

What should be done to rectify the error in the registration card? How much time is taken for this?

The relevant supporting documents will have to be furnished in order to rectify the error in the Registration Card. Usually, this is done on the same day.

Is there any fee to be paid for availing the employment services?

No. There isn’t any fee to be paid for availing the employment services as all the services are provided free of cost by the Government.

Can the job fair be organized with the Employment Office?

Yes. Any employer can either participate in the job-fair organized by the Employment Office or organize the job-fair in co-ordination with the Employment Office.

Which returns are to be submitted to the employment office?

The following returns are to be submitted to the Employment Office: Quarterly Returns – ER I & DPER I, Biennial Return – ER II & DPER II, Half-yearly Return – 85% Local Employment.

What can be done if the reports are not submitted within the stipulated time?

The reports have to be compulsorily submitted within the stipulated time under the Compulsory Notification of Vacancies Act, 1959. If the reports are not submitted on time, it will be considered as the breach of Act and a show cause notice can be served to the concerned employer for the same.

Is it compulsory to notify the vacancies for employer?

Yes. It is compulsory to notify the vacancies under the Compulsory Notification of Vacancies Act, 1959.

I am an employer from outside Gujarat State. Can I obtain the manpower from Gujarat?

Yes. An employer outside of Gujarat can also obtain the manpower from Gujarat.

Can I obtain the manpower from any District Employment Office?

Yes. An Employer can obtain the manpower from any District Employment Office.

Is it necessary to get registered with the concerned District Employment Office for obtaining the manpower from that district?

No. It is not at all necessary to get registered with the concerned District Employment Office for obtaining the manpower from that district. Rather, you will have to fill the CNV Notification Form and submit it with your Company Seal & Authorized Signatory’s Signature to the concerned District Employment Office.

When can the registration card be obtained after the registration in the registration camp? How can it be obtained?

The Registration Card is sent through post to the concerned candidate on the postal address given by him within a week from the date of the Registration Camp.

Is it mandatory to call the candidates for interview after receiving their list from the employment office?

Yes. It is mandatory to call the candidates for interview after receiving their list from the Employment Office in order to ensure compliance with the Compulsory Notification of Vacancies Act, 1959. 

Is it mandatory to inform the employment office about the candidates appointed after the recruitment process?

Yes. It is mandatory to inform the Employment Office about the candidates appointed within 15 days of completing the recruitment process in order to ensure compliance with the Compulsory Notification of Vacancies Act, 1959.

Can the registration and renewal be done through post?

The registration cannot be done through post but, renewal can be done through post.

Is it mandatory for the candidates of Gujarat to produce the domicile certificate for participating in the Army recruitment rally?

Yes. The Indian Army has made it mandatory for all the candidates participating in the Army Recruitment Rally to produce the Domicile Certificate issued by the competent authority.
